



For the ladies: kickboxing team from India!

They were all getting henna tattoos. I asked one of the guys (last one on the right in the pic above) why he didn't get a tattoo of his mother on his arm. "What? Mudder? MY mudder?!" I nodded. "Tattoo of mudder. That's stupid." Then he smiled and laughed and whacked one of the other guys on the leg.

About the sideways head wobble - I'm not 100% clear on all the nuances, but from my experience it's just another way to nod an affirmative, show agreement, or stress that a statement is true.
I jokingly use it when talking to my wife, from time to time, to her general annoyance.
brian, that does make sense about it being a way to nod an affirmative. I noticed it being done especially when people are giving me directions (which is ALL THE TIME). they also do it after I thank them.
I also like the way women flick their wrists, very graceful.
